included Robert Hale, Anja Silja and Kenneth Riegel.
he appeared at the Macau Festival as Amelia
in "Un ballo in maschera" on October 31, November 4 and 7
and Verdi's Requiem on November 8, 1998.
n January 1999, she went on tour through Italy
for a series of concerts of Strauss songs together with the orchestra
of London's Royal Opera Covent Garden. On January 16, Helmut Oertel
accompanied her for her acclaimed piano recital in Rome.
n the occasion of the re-opening of the Gran
Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, Anna Tomowa-Sintow performed for the very
first time the title role in Puccini's "Turandot" on October
26 and 30, 1999.

was the conductor of two concerts with the Oslo Philharmonic on December
2 and 3, 1999, when Anna Tomowa-Sintow once again performed Richard
Strauss' "Four Last Songs".
n January 23, 2000, she starred in a gala performance
of "Ariadne auf Naxos" in Mannheim.

appeared as Tosca opposite Francisco Araiza's Cavaradossi at the Staatsoper
Berlin on 17, 19 and 25 February 2000.
n April 2000
she was once again the triumphant Marschallin in Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier
at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London.
n September
2000 she repeated her Covent Garden success with
the Kaiserin in "Die Frau ohne Schatten" at the Deutsche Oper
Berlin under Christian Thielemann.

concluded the last millenium as Maddalena di Coigny in "Andrea
Chenier" in Oviedo/Spain.
he beginning of 2001 was marked with a wonderful
Verdi Requiem at the Munich Philharmonie and a big Gala solo concert
with operatic arias in Nuremberg.
he continued to honour the Verdi Year with
further concerts of the Requiem throughout Europe and special gala concerts
in Milan and Athens for the 10th anniversary of the Megaron.
n September 23, 2001 she celebrated the 35th
anniversary of her stage debut with a special concert of "Aida"
at the National Opera of Sofia.
n 2002 she
went on a recital tour through Europe, amongst which Barcelona and London’s
Wigmore Hall. She also gave gala concerts and a series of performances
of Verdis „Un ballo in maschera“ and „Don Carlo“,
with which she toured Japan as Elisabetta at the end of the year.

returned to Tokyo for gala concerts in February and special Christmas
concerts, as well as Beethoven's 9th Symphony under Myung Whun Chung
in December 2003 at the city's Bunka Kaikan and Suntory Hall.

2004 with a masterclass at the opera in Hamburg,
followed by several concerts, as well as her debut as the Foreign Princess
in “Rusalka” and once again a triumphant Marschallin in
"Der Rosenkavalier".
n 2005 Anna
Tomowa-Sintow celebrated the 80th anniversary of the opera house in
Stara Zagora (her home town and the oldest opera house in Bulgaria)
with a big operatic gala concert. She also gave a recital and her first
masterclass at the Athens Concert Hall and was the soloist of the popular
summer concerts of the NHK Symphony orchestra in Tokyo and Osaka (operatic
arias, televised), followed by a masterclass at the Music Festival in
Kirishima and the final concert of the Festival with the Wesedonk Lieder.
ver the past few years, Anna Tomowa-Sintow
has been concentrating on steadily expanding her already immense repertoire.
In 1993 she took on Korngold's "Das Wunder der Heliane", which
was recorded by Decca Records.
he is considered greatly responsible
for the 're-discovery' of Richard Strauss' "Die Ägyptische
Helena", having performed the work in Paris and Athens in
1993.
n 1995, she celebrated an immense
triumph with her debut as "Norma" in Zurich.
n 1997, she unveiled her first
Sieglinde in Wagner's "Die Walküre" together with
long-time partner René Kollo as Siegmund.
n February 1998, Valencia heard
her first rendering of "Isolde's Liebestod" and Wagner's
"Wesendonk Lieder".
n May 21, 1998 an enthousiastic
audience at the Staatsoper Berlin celebrated her spectacular
debut as Santuzza in "Cavalleria Rusticana".
n October, 1998, followed her
first "Salome" in concerts with the Gran Teatre del
Liceu Barcelona.
n October, 1999, she sang her first "Turandot"
on the occasion of the re-opening of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona.
n 2004 she debuted as the Foreign Princess
